Hey people, elves, demigods, wizards, witches, and all! Hope you’re having, or have had, an awesome day 🌻
Today I’m doing a collab with Krisha, who blogs at Krisha’s Twilight. Do go and check out her blog if you haven’t already, because she is AWESOME!!!
We’re going to be talking about our art!! “R” is me, and “K” is Krisha, obviously.

K: Hi guys. We will be discussing and sharing our artwork.
R: And of course, there will be pics of our art too.
K: So let’s start!

R: So that’s my first drawing. I usually draw girls like that, but most of the time I don’t bother to add in a background like I did here.
K: I really like the background of the drawing! And the girl looks so cute! I love the drawing!!
R: Is this just going to be us complimenting each other? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
K: Idk
R: Lol anyway… as you can probably see, my style is like a semi-realistic type. I never really know how to explain it πŸ€” It’s kind of like what you would see in graphic novels. I know there are many different graphic novel styles too, but that’s the best I can explain it!
K: I get it! This is one of my artworks – the style is called a mandala.

R: I love mandalas because they’re so soothing! And I love the intricacy.
K: True that! And I really like to draw them because I feel it is like calming and stress-free.
R: I can imagine it would be! But I personally don’t really have the patience to do them.
K: Ikr! I first thought that I wouldn’t be able to do it cause of the detailing and the need of patience but once you get a hang of it it seems to be stress free.
R: That’s lovely to hear!!

K: I love that dragon! Especially the colour combinations and the shading.
R: This was the first colour pencil drawing I did in a while.
K: It doesn’t look like that…
R: It doesn’t? Well I’m glad! I’m so glad I remembered how to shade properly πŸ˜‚πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ I watched a ton of colour pencil tip videos.
K: I need to learn pencil shading!
R: It’s actually really fun once you know how!
K: Glad to hear that. I’ll be sure to try it.
R: And it isn’t that hard either.
K: And ignoring what you said above. The dragon looks AWESOME!
R: Haha. I’ve learnt that while I don’t do this often, I actually really like drawing animals. Including mythical ones, like dragons.
K: I see.

K: This is Madhubani art. It is also a Traditional Indian art style.
R: I’d never heard of Madhubani before you told me about it, but that’s amazing!! I find side profiles incredibly hard, but you totally pulled it off here.
K: Thank you so much! I actually like drawing traditional arts. I find then fun and I like the doodling and detailing in it!
R: Ooooh! It’s definitely very detailed.
K: It took me days to draw it though πŸ˜‚
R: I thought so. How do you do that πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ
K: I am a perfectionist. I don’t like my art if I see a mistake in it myself. I even redo it at times, even though nobody else know the mistake.
R: I like to think I am too, but I don’t actually go ahead with my plans, so maybe I’m a perfectionist in theory πŸ˜œ And, aw, well, don’t be too hard on yourself. You’re doing great!!
K: Thanks.
R: So well.. This was really fun to do, Krisha!
K: Yeah!
R: and I LOVED getting a glimpse of you art!!
K: I had a lot of fun talking to you and seeing your wonderful art, Rayna!

And that was our collab! I already said this, but THIS WAS SO FUN πŸ˜‚πŸ‘
Remember, if you want to collab, I’ll be happy to! I’m a little wrapped up in June, but I’d love to collab in maybe July, so you can send me a message through my contact form if you want to 😜
I don’t really have anything else to say, soooooo…

This is probably the last time you’re going to see this sign-off, so say goodbye πŸ˜‚

  2. I loved looking at the artworks!!! I can’t draw side profile either, the person I draw ends up having this gigantic nose, and no mouth, but I’m working on it 😢 *nervous sweating*
    I can’t see the dragon, though 😭

    1. Thank you!! Haha, same πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ the proportions are incredibly hard to get right. Oh, I’ll have to fix that later. Two people have said that now πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ
Thank you!! Yeah! I’d love to see it if you do πŸ˜‰
