September Monthly Wrap-up 🌻

Hey people, elves, demigods, witches, wizards, and all! Hope you’re doin’ well. 🌻
Whew, it’s been a while since I wrote a post. I’ve been in a blogging slump (although I didn’t want to admit it’s a slump) all month, as you probably know if you’ve seen my blogging break post. 😩
But it’s nice to be back for a little bit! I feel ✨productive.✨ I have two or three posts planned for this week, and then I’ll be properly back a little while after that. At least, I think.
And wow, they changed the font you see in the editor again. Funnily enough, they changed the font last when I went on my previous hiatus in February or March. 👀
*anyway*
Time for the actual wrap-up!

I can’t actually fail at my goals this time. That would be impossible.
..because I didn’t make any. 😃 Yeah, I didn’t make a new month post, and I couldn’t really think of anything I wanted to achieve in September either, so I didn’t write them in my “bullet journal” either.
(still not sure if I can call it a bullet journal…)
So onto the next section we go! (while ignoring the unnecessary-ness of this section, of course.

*whistles* I read.. nine books this month! Sure, two or three of them were graphic novels, but that’s not bad! I think I only have 19 books left to hundred. (I had a goal to read at least 100 books this year.) AND THREE. WHOLE. MONTHS. 😏
Anyway, these are my mini-reviews for the month:

Nightfall was a reread, of course. For some reason, I always end up enjoying rereading Nightfall more than I think I will. It may be my third favourite KOTLC book.

The Lonely Heart of Maybelle Lane wasn’t quite as good as I thought it would be. 😪 I mean, I enjoyed it and all, but something about it just wasn’t.. good.
Wow. I sure have a way with words-

Click wasn’t nearly as good as I was expecting. The art style is nice and all, and I like Olive (the main character), but it was quite short, and not really, well, satisfying. I think I’ll still get the other books in the series eventually, because I do like the sound of them, but this first book wasn’t great.

AHHHHHHHHHHHH. At first, I wasn’t really liking Six of Crows all that much, but seriously, it’s good. Easily the best book I read this month. PLEASE GO READ IT.
(and thanks a lot, pbs, for recommending it!!!! I’d heard of SoC before, but I probably wouldn’t have read it, or at least not for a while, if you hadn’t recommended it.)

Guts is another reread, while I was waiting for the second book in SoC (which I’ve got and am currently reading!). It was pretty good! I’d forgotten most of it.
Also it’s crazy, it feels like I just walked into the bookstore, happily surprised to find a new Raina Telgemier book in stock. But it was in 2019. Two years ago.

AHHHHHHHHH. I’d been looking for the sequel to Jacky Ha-ha FOR SO. LONG. And then in that newly discovered bookshop, the one that’s only two minutes away from my house, I FOUND IT RIGHT AS WE WERE GETTING THE OTHER BOOKS BILLED. FINALLY! Not even Amazon had it, last time I checked.
*cough cough*

About the book.
It was good.
Very good.

George. Another reread. I read it like two years ago, but I pretty much remembered everything. It’s not great, but I liked it!

So. Listen, Layla is actually the sequel to a book. But I read it anyway.
I’m great at following the unwritten bookish rules.
Anyway. I’ll get the first book soon! That’s probably enough to say to tell you that I liked the sequel!! 😌

It wasn’t like, that great. I dunno why so many people love it so much. But the style is really cute. And I do like it enough to get the other books.

Why hadn’t I payed more attention to this song before last week? I LOVE ITTTTT!

I’m not sure why, but September has felt busier than usual. Unexpected, right? What with my blogging break and all. Plus September is like May for me; nothing much happens, and I often forget that they exist.
(🎶 ~I forgot that you existed~ 🎶)

Probably because offline school has started, twice a week. Only twice, yes, but it’s tiringggg.

I’ve been doing ukulele, of course, and one of these days you’re going to get to listen to me play! I already know three songs, so I just need to record it.
So.
It’s gonna happen.
