(this post was written on 22nd november)
Hey people, elves, demigods, witches, wizards, crows, and all! Hope you’re doin’ well. π» I’m currently in Starbucks, writing this in my red blogging notebook (which I’ve become slightly obsessed with~). I’m also fairly certain my mum’s taking a photo of me at this very moment. I won’t look up to check though, in case it ruins the photo. π Look, there’s me writing:

Oh goodness. I just noticed that they’ve played August by Taylor Swift! Excellent taste. ππ Oh, and it just changed to Invisible String. I think they might’ve played the whole Folklore album. I HOPE SO!!! (spoiler alert: they had.)
Anyway, enough rambling about the music playing. π€¦ββοΈ
So.. I’ve wanted to do another rainy day post for a while now, but you see it’s November, and haha, where the hell is rain going to appear from? π (it would never rain where I live after october)
SO. The only thing I’ve needed to say in this entire extremely long intro but haven’t gotten to yet is that this is a just like a typical rainy day post that I do… without the rain.

First up: some books I got over the past couple weeks! Book haul = rainy day tradition.

This photo took such a long time to get right.. and it still doesn’t look great. My camera died, so I had to use my phone like a humble peasant. π Plus it’s night. And the lighting is horrible in the living room. Tragedy after tragedy.

Look… there’s rat taking the photo! Yes, I did use my shirt for the background of the books. #socreative.
*anyway* don’t you just love a good stack of books? I could’ve made it higher, because there are two or three other books I got recently, but just think about the struggle putting like nine books back in their places. My brain just can’t handle that much effort.
Have you read any of those books? I’ve already read the Wimpy Kid one, Solitaire, and The Extremely Embarrassing Life of Lottie Brooks.. and I’m almost done with Girl Online. I’m extremely excited for One of Us is Lying. And King of Scars.
*some time later*
Okay, we’re out of Starbucks, and in the car now. Home is only two minutes away, but I’ve still put on music. I bet you can’t guess who this song is by. It’s totally not by Taylor Swift.
Totally.
π³

Up next: a poem!! We can’t forget everyone’s favourite part of the post!
*after getting out of the car*
Hmm. Time to brainstorm…
I saw a poem prompt
‘The view out of my window’
But all I see is buildings
And that too, barely so.
The sky is hidden
Stars? What even are they?
It’s been a while since I last saw them
So I can’t really say.
You know I can’t go outside
It’s horrid
And all for a few moments
Of so-called ‘fun’
Of the idiots who shouldn’t be here.
What do you get from those?
Aren’t stars enough light in the sky,
And don’t we have too much noise already?
Wish they’d just agree to wave these goodbye.
~Rayna, 2021
In case you hadn’t guessed, this is about pollution, which is awful here, particularly around this time of the year. What did you think the poem was about, at first? I’m curious. π
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the poem, books, and rambles! Hopefully it’ll actually be raining for my next rainy day post… but probably not. π© Sorry for the abrupt ending, but I’m writing the outro like, six days later, which is why it’s different. π€¦ββοΈ
I hope you guys have a great day! π»

Ooh, this was, honestly, really fun to read!
Do you always write in your red blogging notebook? You write your post drafts in there? Or do you write other things related to your blog in there too? Mind sharing those, please?
I am curious, and I want to see if whatever you are doing will work for me too… *grins sheepishly*
Aaah, those books. THOSE BOOKS. THOSE BOOKS. Gosh, I should go read something-
Aksjaksaks.
Did you just call yourself a rat? XD
And that’s a lovely poem! I really liked reading it! It’s true and very well written. I just wish things would actually improve, you know. I really love the stars, and to think of not seeing them…

Well, I just starting writing in the notebook a couple weeks ago, but I’ve been trying to write as many posts in there as possible. Annnnd I can write pretty much anywhere I want to now, so, heh, it’s awesome. π
I don’t write other stuff in there.. but I do have other notebooks I write in. Sometimes.
Well, not that often- I’m working on changing that, though. Sort of. πΆ
YES BOOKS! YES YOU SHOULD!
Heh.. yes I did. I am a rat. Rat is i. Rayna rat. Rat rayna. Rat relishes radishes. Rat is me!
*cough*
I think I went a bit crazier for a second there-
thank youuuuu! Me too…. π

Lovely poem!! I think itβs a masterpiece and absolutely breathtaking, and yeah ahh One of Us is Lying is worth reading. It’s a surprising and engaging book that was hard to put down. I especially liked how each perspective of the characters was described in depth so that the audience was not left out of the storytelling. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves murder mysteries and young adult fiction. Howz it going so far?

Thank you so much!! It is! It’s is!! I’m really enjoying it so far, especially since I have n o idea who could’ve murdered Simon. Well, some idea, but I don’t think I’m very correct. π€·ββοΈ
