november wrap-up πŸ‚ // actually on time for once? haha nope!

Hey people, elves, demigods, witches, wizards, crows, and all! Hope you’re doin’ well. 🌻
It’s almost the last month of the year! Just a few hours left. Wow. I can’t believe 2021 is 31 days away from being over… 😳 And ’tis my birthday month too!
So anyway. How was your November? Mine was.. I dunno, honestly. Eventful enough? Good? Why can I never answer this question? ahh, the wonders of the world. πŸ™‚
Anyway, time for the goals and stuff!

✰ finish learning two ukulele songs~
I learnt four, I think, actually!! I achieved double of what I was going for – which is so great to hear after I’ve been failing my goals all the time. ^_^

✧ read 9+ books
oh, I don’t actually know. Ima just go count~ #unpreparednessamiright
o_O I’m doing well this month?! I read exactly nine books. 😌
Who even am I now? Since when do I do good on goals? But this is good, though. I’m glad. Despite all my questioning making it seem like I don’t like this.

✰ write more posts in a notebook
Yessss, I did do that! It’s so fun writing posts in a notebook.. something I never thought I’d say. πŸ€” Mayhaps I really am an imposter.. watch out guys.

Those were my only three goals, and somehow, I accomplished all of those. GoOd job, Rat! *waits for applause*

In comparison to some recent months, November was pretty good, in terms of reading, anyway. I read nine books, which is what I wanted. ✌ I think I only need to read 5 more books to read my 100 books goal of the year ~ easily accomplishable. I mean.. I’d hope so. πŸ™‚
aNyWaY, the books I read in october November:

oof im going to have to put all these back in their places~ #somuchworkamiright

That’s What Friends Doby Cathleen Barnhart
This was a really sweet book. If sweet is the right word I’m looking for. And also, it’s relatable. Ish. Annnd it has a bittersweet (ish.) ending. I really like those in books.

Heartstopper, volume 2by Alice Oseman
This is also really sweet! I still don’t think it deserves s o m u c h hype, though. But I slightly get it.
Very slightly.

The Extremely Embarrassing Life of Lottie Brooks by Katie Kirby
The first time I wrote this ‘mini’-review, it was like three paragraphs. So I cut out a lot. This book is just kind of meh, but if you want, I can post the whole thing?
Anyway, at first this kinda felt like a Wimpy Kid rip-off, but I warmed up to it soon enough. Wimpy Kid is still a hundred times better, in my opinion, but this is a pretty decent book!

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Big Shotby Jeff Kinney
Speaking of Wimpy Kid, I read the new 16th book as well. Is it just me, or is there something just… lacking in this one? I dunno. Maybe Jeff Kinney is getting bored of Greg or something. ΰ² _ΰ²  (aren’t these emoticon things just amazing~)

Kristy and the Snobs: A Graphic Novel (The Baby-sitters Club #10) by Chan Chau (Original Novel by Ann M. Martin)
Welp. I don’t really have a lot to say? ‘Tis just another pretty good baby-sitters club graphic novel. Ray approves! πŸ€“

The Runaway Girlsby Jacqueline Wilson
Ugh. I picked this up with literally no knowledge of what it’s about. I just got it because ✨Jacqueline Wilson.✨(she was my favourite author for a while.) But honestly, this book is s o b o r i n g. I was relieved to finally finish it. πŸ˜‘ Definitely going to have to reread another Jacqueline Wilson book (for the thousandth time) in December to get this out of my mind~

Solitaireby Alice Oseman
I have no idea what I think about this book. I liked it.. I guess? πŸ€”

Girl Online by Zoe Sugg
This book.. isn’t the best? I liked it. But awfully clichΓ© in some ways. Eh, it’s good enough! I’m going to read the sequel anyway, so~

Allergicby Megan Lloyd
Okay, well, the ending was predictable. Very predictable. I guessed it 100% accurately after reading like, ten pages and the blurb. The whole book, honestly, was predictable. But still. Sweet, nice, quick read.

And that’s all! Some books were pretty good, some books were okayoverall not too shabby. 😌 Moving on…

I may have been a bit obsessed with this song throughout November. I also learnt it on ukulele, and it’s s o fun to play. You can listen to me play here:

Or here:

Anyway! Next song…

I didn’t like this very much at first.. but I listened to it again and now, well, as you can see, it made it to my songs on repeat list, so….. yeah.

This was playing in the background of a series I was watching, and I’m so glad I searched for this. It’s pretty cool and calm~

wE’rE aLL a LiTtLe InSaNe sOmeTimEs~
Isn’t that lyric just one of the best? I think anyone who bothers reading my blog can love it. πŸ˜†πŸ˜—

Heh, this song is actually playing right now.
I don’t know why I like this. It’s just nice. Β―\_( Ν‘Β° ΝœΚ– Ν‘Β°)_/Β―
Oh, and unique. In a way.

It’s crazy how you’d want to play a t e n m i n u t e song over and over again… but that’s Taylor Swift for ya. (β—”β—‘β—”)

WHEW. I could add a lot more. But you probably don’t want that. And I’m too lazy.
So time for the last section of the post!

Let’s see… I went to three birthdays. I’m not sharing any pictures because well, I don’t feel like asking anyone if I can use them. But yeah. I went.

There was Diwali too, of course. I didn’t really do a l o t (crackers are out of the question 🀨). I went to Starbucks, I think. And lit diyas (which I’d also painted the previous day. It’s a tradition I have. πŸ™ƒ). And candles. And put up marigold garlands and stuff. And watched the AQI rise. πŸ’€

I started writing in a notebook this month; and it’s super cool. I can write pretty much everywhere now, even in the car, so that’s fun. Annnd it reduces my screentime. πŸŽ‰
Although typing posts in is awfully boring.. that’s partly why it’s been taking me so long to finish this post. Typing in the wrap-up has been b o r i n g me.

I went to Bookaroo as well.. it was pretty cool! Even though we were late both days. ( Ν‘ΰ²  Κ–Μ― Ν‘ΰ² )

Anyway, I think that’s all.
Oh yesss. 29th November was my fifth blogiversary! That was super cool.. even when I was totally unprepared to post and wrote a pretty rushed thing. (ΰΈ‡ β€’_β€’)ΰΈ‡

Annd I think that’s really it. Timeeeee to finally write the last words to this post! I started typing it in on 28th.. and now it’s 4th. Oof.

I hope you enjoyed this post! I’ll see ya’ll soon. Have a great rest of your day! πŸ‘‹πŸŒŠ
How was your November?

p.s here’s a couple photos of me working on this post right now.. my desk has become extremely messy. there’s that stack of books, leg warmers (?!), hot chocolate, schoolbooks, my blogging notebook… oops~

alright bye~

  2. Solitaire was definitely an interesting read– I liked the characters but the plot was not what I expected at all !! I think Oseman is re-releasing an edited version at some point. I probably won’t read it again, but I wonder how much will have changed. (unless I’ve dreamt this fact up… then nevermind πŸ˜…) Riptide is such a catchy song !! also, happy 5th blogiversary !! I hope you have a great December !! πŸ’—
