in which i go even crazier over my new bookshelf~

i need to stop spending so much time on such simple featured images-

Hellooo people, elves, demigods, witches, wizards, crows, and all! Hope you’re doin’ well. 🌻
I finally got my long-awaited-for bookshelf last month (WHICH I ABSOLUTELY LOVEEEEEEE~). Or mayhaps it was two months ago? Gosh, if it’s already been two months I’ll freak out~ wait I think it has been two months what the hell?!?! 👀😳🤷‍♀️
*anyway* I’m listening to Folklore again while writing this. No surprise. I’ve been doing that a lot recently. It’s awesome to have in the background while crocheting or writing a post. aUgUst slipped away like a bottle of wiiiiiine~
Why am I talking about music in the intro again?
I need to start focusing.
And write shorter intros. ahhhhhh~

alrighty (see panna, I crossed out the y just for you. Even though you may not see this for ten centuries. 🙂), here’s where the bookshelf tour starts! I did mention that I’m doing a bookshelf tour, right? …right?
Oh wow. I just realised how blurry the photos are. And now I must take them again. The tragedies of life. 😭 At least the sunlight is good. (this is the one day I’m writing a post in the afternoon. And that too, a Sunday. FOR ONCE! A productive [ish] Sunday.)
I’m back after taking those photos again. Turns out there were some pictures missing, too. All good things happen for a reason?
Now, enough wasting time!

This is the top shelf. The top two shelves are all fantasy, but this one is specifically books by Rick Riordan, Shannon Messenger, and Leigh Bardugo. In case you’re wondering, I left space there in the back for the last two KOTLC books. (*cri* can’t believe they’ll be the last. Even though I expected this~)

oops, ’tis a bit blurry

This shelf is more miscellaneous than the last one.. it’s still a fantasy shelf, though. There’s Harry Potter over there, LOTR (which I seriously need to continue someday~), The Land of Stories, A Tale of Magic, The Chronicles of Narnia (still haven’t read all the books in that series either; oOps), and then that set of Lucky Stars (is that what it’s called? I’m too lazy to check~) that I didn’t know what to do with. I mean, I gave away some Thea Stilton books, but I kind of want to keep these. Even if I’ll never read them.

Anyway, there’s some standalone fantasy books as well. And that lovely Hermione doll (no, I didn’t make that. I should crochet a doll someday though- oh. getting sidetracked again).

Next, I have my Jaqueline Wilson shelf! I used to be kind of obsessed with her books, which is why I have so many. (not as many as my Enid Blyton books, just wait for that-) In fact, apart from one or two, all of these have been reread like five times. Oh, and there are some Thea Stilton books stacked in the front, and a few Ella Diaries books I used to like.

ahh, my lovely slice-of-life shelf. Is the genre actually called realistic fiction? Domestic fiction? Eh, I don’t know, and I don’t really care. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Anyway, apart from The Casson Family series, and Amelia Bedelia, these are all mostly standalones. Or have like, one sequel. So I’m not going to be listing all of them, obviously. You can try reading the titles yourself. 🙂
Oh, and the reason I’ve kept Solitaire separately is because I’ll hopefully be getting more Alice Oseman books soon. So I’ll keep those stacked over there. :))

Bottom shelf! This is kind of just mystery, adventure, and miscellaneous books. Hardy Boys, The Boxcar Children, a set of really thin Shakespeare books for children, some Karen M. McManus books, Agatha Oddly, Ross Welford books, blah, blah, blah.

And that’s the bookshelf, both open and closed. The photos aren’t very bright, but it looks a w e s o m e in real life. Come visit me sometime. 😆👻

Okay, yes, that is my whole new bookshelf… but I do have more books. So what I’m going to do is publish this post right now, and make a part two soon, with those other books. Because let’s face it, you’re probably bored of me by now. 😳
(oh and sorry for not posting much and all. I haven’t exactly been busy~ and I wish I could say I’ve been using this time to work on Blogmas Week posts, but I haven’t. I haven’t written at all. uGh.)

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed zee wonderful bookshelf tour! This post was a bit short.. but it took a W H I L E due to some, ehem, issues with photos. And then there was a lot of trouble with transferring those photos to my phone as well. But hey, all’s well that ends well (🎶 but I’m in a new hell every time 🎶 – don’t worry guys that’s a song lyric), and ’tis finally done!
Have a great day, everyone! And don’t forget to come back for part two. Dead or alive. …and on that happy note, I’ll end the post. 🙂

p.s here’s a photo of me taking a quick break while taking photos. 🙂 it’s somehow way too bright, and way too dark at the same time~
And with that, I bid you farewell.

  1. Wow! I can’t believe your bookshelf is so neat!🤩 I’m pretty sad that there are just 2 more KOTLC books to go before it ends 😔 (though I still have to read Legacy and Unlocked)
