ah finally, a rainy day post! ft. a stack of books, lyrics inserted at any point, and yes, a poem.

Hellooo people, elves, demigods, witches, wizards, crows, and all! Hope you’re doin’ well. 🌻🌻 so. Do you happen to remember those rainy day posts I used to do back before Ragnarok, in those glorious days? Do I even remember how to perform the ritual of writing one?
*cough cough* Ignore me. What I mean is, those posts on rain, with a poem, and books, and rambles. Lovely stuff.

I hope at least some of you have heard Superache (Conan’s new album). 🥺 I mAy do a review sOoNiSh. 👀 Oh, and of course, I’m going to do a ukululu cover of at least one of the songs. Maybe Best Friend. Or Jigsaw. Or Disaster. Or Footnote. As you can see, I’m having just a little bit trouble deciding. 💀
Anyway. Listening to music in the rain is just the best, isn’t it? I’ve missed this. 😔✊ I LIKE THAT YOU’RE BROKEN, BROKEN LIKE ME. MAYBE THAT MAKES ME A FOOL.

OOH LOOK. Books. We hAVE to have something about books in a rainy day post.
And this is perfect. Recently, I pulled out (almost) every single book I was yet to read. I have no idea why, but then we know not to question my spontaneous doings, don’t we? 😳
I’m quite excited to read all of these. Even though a few have been sitting there for years, and some may continue to do just that. I’ll get to them eventually. And there are a few I really want to read now. Like Killer Content (I’d told myself I was done with murder mysteries for a bit, after the A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder series, and the very next day, I bought this. Good job, Rat). And Carry On. And King of Scars.

a couple hours after the rain stopped (sadly), we went to a nearby park! I was about to write about how lovely the weather was, then stopped for a moment and realised I’d sound like old lady rambling about weather for goodness sake. No offense to old ladies. I’m sure most don’t do that.

Oh, and I’m the one in the purple shirt. Y’know, in case you couldn’t tell. Very easy to mix these sorts of things up. *nod*

I feel like it’s also important to explain that, in the photo, I was in an incredibly serious and world-changing debate with my dad. About whether cars are living things. 😃👍

okay. I think you’ve had enough of my unimportant (though fun-ish, you must admit) ramblings. Now it’s time for me to try and write a pOEM!
*five hours later* help how do you write a poem?
*another couple hours pass*
…no seriously how.
Okay, so evidently I’m finding it hard to think of a topic- but I asked Sep for a prompt, and that did inspire this poem a bit. So, thanks for that, mate! And eventually, I wrote this:

A Villain

Help, I forgot how to feel
I tried to block everyone out for a while
I was just trying to rid myself of emotion
Focus on something more important
But then my apathy became real

Help, I think I accidentally got used to it
Cutting everyone out of my life
And I forgot how to sympathize
Now I think I’m just a villain
Of my own twisted fairytale

Help, I think I’ll stay alone
I tried to revive the me from an old life
When I had real people and feelings
But that was such a different time
Right now I’ll just remain a little dead inside.
